At the upmarket Marina Bay Sands, even the interns need a memory as good as an elephant's.
The front desk, VIP services and butler service interns need to remember special request after special request made by their guests.
Serene Lim, 19, for one, has found out that top Japanese guests do not like people who are serving them to turn their backs to them - a gesture of disrespect in their culture.
Yukiko Tan Zi Qi, 20, learnt that Japanese couples, even longtime married ones, do not sleep together on the same bed. "Guests usually like having king-sized beds. So we have to clarify their needs with them early and change the furniture before they arrive," she said. "They don't like showers either. They like their bathtubs."
To prepare for their 5-month-long internships, Serene, from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and Yukiko, from Republic Polytechnic, had to attend a month-long training session - learning how to speak, do their hair and make-up, and even walk graciously as though they were on a catwalk.
Even the boys were not spared. "We role-played different scenarios and practised checking guests in and out," said Serene.
While Serene said she would like to be an air stewardess someday, she feels that her stint at MBS will "be beneficial to any future career".
But if the job has had one intended effect, it is that "it has made us far more polite", said Yukiko.
She said: "When I take calls on my personal phone now, I automatically say, 'Front office, this is Yukiko, how may I assist you?'
It's now a reflex action after getting hundreds of calls a day."

Arghhh, partly it was because of the menses that I didnt go to the pulau ubin camp
the bigger part of it was because I really didnt wanna go in the first place
but being a leadership camp and I'm the President I had to leh,
end up also never go so who cares hahhahahs

I rather spend my time relaxing at home before attachment starts on Monday
Since yesterday I've been working on this for Bugs Darling
our 2 years anniversary is coming ....
its almost done,
I missed out some pictures ytd so I'll need to go get them print later

I was trying to organise the photo album using the months
and I realise the thousands of photos Ben and I had taken
Shihao was with me and when he saw my pictures,
he almost fainted and commented "your boyfriend does really like to take pictures"
hahhahahs
Not only that, as I look through the almost done album,
I saw how much Ben and I had been through
how happy he has made me
and how much I had love.

Michelle went over to my Dad's with me

Aftermath of Saturday thank you everyone !

So its Monday and all my friends are either back to school, work and the worst are Exams !

so I slept slept and slept til my stepmom call me out for dinner.

so I went to visit my pooh pooh

taken with my new love Sony t90 :)

he's very angry today, refused to let anyone one of us carry him

and kept giving us this guai lan face as we didint bring him out for dinner

Dinner was normal la, nothing fantastic

commentable desserts , they are really as delicious as how they look.

pity the angle I took wasnt very complementary to their visuals hahahhahs

Saturday was not only my birthday celebration at Cafe Del Mar
it is my best birthday celebration ever !
thank you for everyone who came down and made the party alive !!!!!!

I keep disturbing everyone with that thing in my mouth

blowing right into their ears and they are like, "girl ar you turning 20" ...

" my 5 year old cousin gimme her birthday goody bag have ma I bring lor"

these are only half the drinks and not counting the food and others

my look when they gave me the coach box,

I knew they were gonna disturb me, by putting tissue paper in it

so I threw the 2nd box away

and they both got scared because that's the real coach in it

thank you these 2 lovely ones for the coach wrislet, the exact one i posted a few posts ago

percy jackson is a show that I enjoyed its comical effects with a touch myths and action !
he came my place after which and we continued to watch more movies on mio tv hahahhas

Thursday was CNY @woodlands,
after going to coffeeshop to bai nian with our favourite chicken rice stall uncle,
we went akina's place for mj
and her mom got us s superbly delicious steamboat dinner :)
akina dont take pictures but I insist -.-

the beef was heavenly la !

Wednesday was Reena's bdae celebration at Orchard Ion
and I enjoyed my meal at Swensen's
plus the shopping treats for myself altogether with the girls :)

Tuesday was practically gambling session at shihao's
and Monday was quality couple time with darling the whole day :)>

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR !!!!!

Alrights, I spnet the first day of new year well and happy
I thank Buddha and guan yin ma for my family, my boyfriend and my dear friends
First day was spent at home with my relatives and Ben
my cute brother reach out to me finally, asking me to carry him and sayang me
he even lie on my shoulders leh, so cute my winnie the pooh didi

after which was valentine's with darling and a movie session and
next wwe had mahjhong at shihao's
and there was this cannon he wanted to share with us

new year's eve was spent cleaning my room
and these are the shoes that I have,

Sudddenly my family decided to not have reunion dinner this year
so I was kinda depressed that my father didnt include me
then my kind korkor BenBen ask me to go over
and join his family for dinner at East Coast and K-box session later that night

Today is the 600th post, just in time to say

so after the torturous UTs at 830 am and 430pm,
met my dearie in Town and hang around, sorry girl,
didnt prepare much for your birthday this year.

So free as a bird and all into the holiday, new year & celebration mood,
the dinner was great :)

My Dad turns 44 this year and I'm turning 20
yes he is young and stillchildish at times.
Now you know why I'm like that ... ...

I know I should not be complaining
because just how many stepmothers would buy things for their stepchildren?
My point is that, since you are going to spend money on expensives gifts for me
why not buy something that I like ?

I happily went over to my Dad's to pick up my Coach present from my Stepmom
then to be disappointed that it wasn't the wristlet that I wanted,
she bought me a Coach sling bag when I wanted a wristlet
I wanted an LV wallet previously and she bought me a LV bag
I didnt asked for DKNY and she got me the bag
I wanted Ralph Lauren bag and she bought the polo.
Yes, she is a wonderful stepmother I know,
since she's willing to spend the money on me, why not just get me what I want
that are actually CHEAPER?
I remembered she bought me a diamond necklace in secondary school
when I asked for a Billabong bag -.-

So people, if you dont know what to get for me for my Birthday,

After so long of all the FML trend,
today I have the perfect situation to say FUCK MY LIFE
so here goes

" Today I was happily shopping with my best friend
until til the company; Marina Bay Sands which I am dying to join
called me to confirm my position and they had to run some background check.
I was seriously trying to take down the require information with many difficulties.
Finally when I was trying to get the email of the caller
and when to submit my background check until my phone died on me.
The best thing was that when I tried to change the SIM cards to another phone,
and even rush home to retrieve the caller's number on my oringinal phone,
the information and call log contact was ALL LOST
now there is nothing I can do until the company calls me back again
FUCK MY LIFE"

on top of that situation,
my grandmother had to add on by giving me attitute problems
for the slightest thing i do at home; like putting the soap on the soap bar
and I get fucked for nothing

It was like from the moment I wake up,
got outta the house and when I rushed home with the hp problem,
she had to give me another round of attitute
WHEN SHE BLOODY HELL MADE A MISTAKE
and yelled at me for causing her mistake
when it was my bloddy cousin who told her the wrong thing
EPIC moment was that I didnt spoke a word to my cousin
and she insisted that I told her to told grandma so therefore the mistake

BTW the only thing to be happy is
HAPPY 23RD MONTH !!!!!!!

enjoying life at home with dramas and these babies :)

Aside from their cuteness plus mine, I realised,

in a month's time I will be ending my teenage years, I feel so old.
and my age starts with a freaking 2 in front !!!!! god damn it -.-

So I met michelle dearie last night and we are contemplating on our trip to Hong Kong.

hmmm... I just found out that I have a few undone things from my 101 things to do list.

I made a promise to myself that after my O level's,

I will enjoy life to the max by completing the 101 things I listed out.

Many of those I have accomplished

but there are a few neglected ones mainly due to budget constrains -.-

So, they are mainly

- go to Taiwan (went Hong Kong Disney instead)

- go to Japan (almost did that last Sep)

- learn French (busy with Japanese)

- get my tattoo ( I grew outta it and I cant complete the design I want still)

but now my plans are to go to Hong Kong with dearie (Dec 2010 probably)

and of course if possible, Bangkok with my bimbos.( Jun 2010 hopefully)

nevermind, Chinese New Year is around the corner,

I need to do some shopping with my Dad or Stepmom liao.

First to get my Anna sui make up replenish, yeah I do an annual restock kinda thing.
And I am abit extreme as to buy a year's worth of perfumes,

facial cleanser foundation, eyeliner and whatever

Second, to get many many clothes, its great because you're in Poly,

it gives me a very good excuse to get my Dad pay for more clothes, bags, shoes etc :)

Thirdly I want a brithday celebration !

I never really celebrate it cause it always a bad timing

either no money or people not free, chalet full and blah blah blah.

see how la.

Btw, Marina Bay Sands replied for my interview on last Thursday.

I hope I get it, though they said my interview was well received,

and wanted my results slip and etc, I scared scared leh

I really want new bags because I always have so many things to bring to school !

we broke up but was asked back once again like he always does
but since we knew of what's wrong, so am I ready to be with him once again ?
To know that he wanted to pursue something else,
and both of us are not only in light of how we might not be meant to be
we also knew how painfully if we arent meant to be.

so this is us, again.
Our relationship is shaped like a circle,
starting at the same point but going different directions,
at times we don't walk together, we walk dangerously by the edge
the distance we are at,
follows the circumference of the circle that is separated by a painful diameter
and when we walk together, we keep going in circles, round and round.
We try to look into the future together,
since its not a straight line but a circle,we cant see anything
and when we look back,
traces of the past are is just a circuitous winding route.

Maybe, there is a power by being together
the motivation we gave each other,
the pillar of support that will always be there,
the love we all shared.

was in super formal yesterday for the resume photoshoot in school
and yes, I did had alot of fun in disturbing my usual photographer and make-up artist hee:)

The school brought me to the National Museum Of Singapore on Wednesday
I'm not very close to my wed class people, so I was kinda lonely yesterday
